The name of the field according to Westdean's 1840 tithe map that has been extended to include TV5199 : Wainhouse Field to the north.The old flint wall on the left was probably the main demarcation between the fields owned by Exceat Farm and that of neighbouring Westdean Manor which now contains Friston Forest. In the distance on the right is Exceat Hill.
