Mickle Trafford Mill - sack hoist
Mickle Trafford Mill - sack hoist
This is at the south end and there seems to have been provision for it to operate a hoist in two positions. The precise arrangements aren't clear. It is operated by friction in the usual way with a roller on an arm that can be pulled against the belt to tighten it over the driving and driven pulleys. This is a very interesting mill and the south end is most complete with no stones at the north end.
