taken 4 years ago, near to Bridge Trafford, Cheshire, Great Britain

Mickle Trafford Mill - north gearing
Mickle Trafford Mill - north gearing
This is for the incomplete northern part of the mill and drove two pairs of stones (now absent) and an oatmeal dresser that is incomplete and lying on the floor. How this latter worked and was driven is not clear. The mainshaft and vertical shaft are wooden and the surviving gears have metal teeth. The pit wheel is a clasp arm wooden structure with cast iron reinforcing brackets.
