SK4624 : Long Holden and the A42

taken 10 years ago, near to Long Whatton, Leicestershire, England

Long Holden and the A42
Long Holden and the A42
Long Holden used to connect Diseworth to Long Whatton. Its line is now cut, but the section beyond this point had already dwindled to a minor track by the time of the Ordnance Survey First Series maps in 1836 and had disappeared by the time the M1 motorway and the A42 were built.
