Construction of extension to Spennells Valley Nature Reserve, Spennells, Kidderminster
The Sports Field or Sports Ground (it seems to be known by both names) is adjacent to part of the Spennells Valley Nature Reserve. The field suffers from a surfeit of water for much of the year, so is not the best place to play sports. It has now been decided to use part of it as an extension of the nature reserve. Three pools will be created, one of which will be permanently linked to the Hoo Brook. The work was at a fairly early stage when photographed in late November 2013.
