The chimney at the former Regency Spinning factory J4973 : Regency Spinning Ltd on the Comber Road. The area behind the fence was the site of the Crepe Weavers factory. To the best of my knowledge both are included in a new scheme for “industrial, leisure and business units; two nursing homes; a 100 bed hotel; a neighbourhood centre to include a crèche/nursery, retail units, a Health Centre and a bank; several hot food outlets; a petrol filling station and 96 residential units” (X/2010/0296/O).
