SX4157 : Saltash: Trematon Castle

taken 17 years ago, near to St Stephens, Cornwall, England

Saltash: Trematon Castle
Saltash: Trematon Castle
A 12th century shell keep, rather similar to Restormel Castle, it was built by Reginald de Valle Torte, reputedly on the site of a Roman fort. The castle is not open to the public. Seen from a train on the Plymouth-Truro line, near Forder Viaduct. Looking north-north-west
