Elephant Rock viewed from the front
Elephant Rock viewed from the front
This photo of the Elephant Rock was taken at low tide when the wave-cut platform was exposed. The weathered face of the volcanic rock is clearly visible. A transect on the NE side of the Elephant Rock shows the wave-cut platform, the present day shingle beach, raised beach and an ancient line of cliffs.
