Carne Beacon
This mound, marked as a "Tumulus" on the map is thought to be a Bronze Age burial mound or "barrow" and one of the largest in Britain. From the top of the mound there are excellent views of the sea. A slab of concrete on the top attests to its use as an observation post during WWII.
