SP1042 : Entrance to Honeybourne Grounds Farm

taken 15 years ago, near to Honeybourne, Worcestershire, England

Entrance to Honeybourne Grounds Farm
Entrance to Honeybourne Grounds Farm
Looking north-east across what was once RAF Honeybourne airfield, a World War 2 airfield which closed in 1948. Most of the runway areas were removed when the airfield was converted back to farmland in 1968, but there are several sections of hard standing remaining, used for storage as here. Some hangars have become the Honeybourne Airfield Trading Estate.
