Whiston Bridge
Whiston Bridge
There has been a bridge here since at least the mid-19th century, when it carried a narrow track or lane from Bank Top over the Churnet to Leys and Whiston. The modern footbridge deck is mounted on much wider stone piers which are, presumably, older.
