NS7131 : Priesthill

taken 13 years ago, 4 km from Glenbuck, East Ayrshire, Great Britain

Looks like the home of a gamekeeper now. The shepherding seems to have slowed here, the moorland is reverting to heather and very long grass inhavited by a handful of very dirty feral looking sheep. There is a pen of red deer nearby. In conflict with this opposition is the presence of a field full of blackfaced tups, but they are enclosed and probably spending the summer up here from a neighbouring farm. Meanwhile the opencast mine gets ever closer.
