Monuments inside St Martin's Church
The fragment of cross on the wall is Saxon of the 10th/11th century. The unusual tomb is 14th century and probably depicts Sir John de Heslerton and his wife. The carved top represents a tree with thirteen branches, at the end of which is the head of each of their children.
