Taken at Great Langdale campsite in 1979. Image shows wall and trees to south of Dungeon Ghyll Hotel (New) and fields and crags beyond: Gimmer Crag (mid distance left) and Pavey Ark (background right). On a crowded campsite we found one area near the Great Langdale Beck with plenty of room to pitch our tent; we found out why the next morning when we awoke to sodden sleeping bags and a tent full of floodwater!
