The Bridgford Bus
The Bridgford Bus
Nostalgia for older Nottinghamians and Bridgfordians: to celebrate the centenary of motor buses to West Bridgford, Nottingham City Transport has painted one of the double-deckers used on its Bridgford routes in the livery of West Bridgford Urban District Council Passenger Transport Department (the smallest local authority to operate buses). The paintwork faithfully reproduces the WBUDC livery of not-quite-maroon, not-quite-chocolate with a rich cream. SK5739 : WBUDC Passenger Transport Dept shows a detail. The bus is waiting in Carrington Street for the lights at Collin Street on its way in to town on the No 6 service from Edwalton.
