Nos.198 to 238 Barnsley Street (excluding No.204, which does not exist), 20 terraced dwellings, with three cul-de-sacs: Ivy Terrace, Alaska Villas, and Colenso Villas. Built by 1908-09, today the surviving examples of this style of house in the street.

Barnsley Street takes its name from the Hull & Barnsley Railway that opened 1885. The still-functioning overhead railway line passes immediately to the west of the street.
