Abhainn Mòr heads to the sea
Abhainn Mòr the burn through Glen Catacol is seen here heading for the sea at Catacol Bay. The distant land is part of the Mull of Kintyre.
Glen Catacol :: NR9148

Glen Catacol runs inland from Catacol Bay with Abhainn Mòr running along its valley floor. It is a spectacularly lovely valley with Meall nan Leac Sleamhuin on its western side and the crags of Creag na h-Iolaire on the east.
After just over a mile the valley splits with Glen Catacol continuing southwards towards Loch Tanna, while Gleann Diomhan forks off to the southeast before sweeping around Beinn Bhreac to meet Gleann Easan Biorach.
