This is ACW10, a World War I concrete barge built in Brentford and launched March 1918. It was in fact the first concrete barge launched in Britain during that era. Her sister, ACW 11, also survives off the Orkney Isles. She was shortened and became a crane barge when under the ownership of John Mowlem at the time they were building the Battersea Power Stations, hence her bow has gone, shortening her by about 30ft. She is generally incorrectly represented as a World War II barge, possibly because where she is located at the ex site of F.T. Everard & Sons who did in fact commission and have built 6 concrete in WWII themselves . ..
