Cup and ring marked rock, Cambret Hill
The eye of faith is needed here - but I hope you can just about make out part of a large spiral covering almost half of the rock.
Cup and ring marks are a form of prehistoric art made by carving cup shaped depressions onto (usually smooth) rock faces. The cups are often surrounded by concentric rings, sometimes with a straight channel (gutter) leading out from the middle. Who carved them and why, remains a mystery.
