Worgret Junction - dropping off the single-line token
Worgret Junction - dropping off the single-line token
A train from Swanage leaving the single-line branch to join the double-track Weymouth-Wareham-Waterloo main line. The driver or fireman is dropping off the single-line token in its hoop-mounted pouch onto the collecting post. The signalman will come out of the signal box (part visible on the left) and return the token to the machine in there. He can then either allow another train onto the branch, or another one off it, depending on the needs of the traffic. SY9086 : Worgret Junction - Collecting Single-Line token shows the method of picking up the token. (See LinkExternal link for details of the electric token system.)
