Quakers' Causeway
Quakers' Causeway
One of the best examples of exposed stone pannierways in North Yorkshire. The pannierways are well documented in the foundation document of Guisborough Priory (c1120) being an important route for the transport of wool to the markets of York and Malton. It follows a route probably prehistoric in origin and is now a public bridleway.
