Bovey Tracey: course of leat in Yarner Wood
Bovey Tracey: course of leat in Yarner Wood
Yarner Wood estate is now in the care of English Nature. The leat ran for miles to serve the erstwhile Bovey Pottery. It also powered two waterwheels at a copper mine at SX783783, one of 40' diameter. The mine operated in the early 19th century and again from 1858 to 1865
