Ring Pond at Chatsworth House
This is a photograph of the Ring Pond at Chatsworth House, looking South along the Serpentine Hedge, which runs parallel to the Canal Pond (site of the Emperor Fountain). The small fountain is in the shape of a duck, water spouting from its open beak. A girls' school was moved to Chatsworth during World War II and the girls soon re-named this the "Sick Duck Pond".
There are a pair of coot on the pond.
