In the foreground is the narrows connecting the roughly rectangular ponds to left and right. Most of these along here are equipped with pairs of vertical steel uprights on each side, whether these were for a footbridge or for some sort of sluice is unclear.

Across Stow Creek is Fambridge Yacht Haven.
