Crug Gynon
Crug Gynon
Crug Gynon is the highest point, at 525m, in this expanse of moorland, and its cairn is widely visible. It is located in the NW corner of the square. The opposite corner features the edge of Moel Prysgau forest (seen in the distance), the northern end of a large forest area in the Elenydd hills. Most of this square is rough grassland on the tops and bog in the depressions along the forest edge, where the Afon Tywi (SN3510 : River Towy at Llansteffan) originates.
