After spending 19 balls on 99 the Indian opener Murali Vijay tucked a ball to square leg to reach his fourth Test century, ending the first day of the First Test on 122 not out as India reached 259 for 4. (The Pavilion End scoreboard had gone blank for a moment or two as I pressed the shutter.)
