SJ6469 : Hulses Island

taken 10 years ago, near to Moulton, Cheshire West And Chester, England

Hulses Island
Hulses Island
Hulses Island was created when the River Weaver was canalised to help larger boats reach the salt mines of this area. The old river flows across from this point with the Valeroyal cut to the right, the waters converge again about 1000 yards downstream creating a long narrow island.
