Bromley House Library :: SK5739

An independent lending library since 1816, and one of the few remaining subscription libraries in the UK; a collection of over 40,000 books and periodicals, most of which can be borrowed. In a Grade 2* listed building, a venue for cultural events and a place for historical research, the library was also the site of the first photographic studio in Nottingham, operating from 1841 to 1955.A walled garden behind the building.
