Roofline in the wall
Roofline in the wall
St Laurence's church has Saxon heritage, and has been subject to a number of alterations in its time. This roofline in the south wall is perhaps part of a porticus (similar to the north one) which in later times was removed. A schoolmaster's house used to be very close here but when it was demolished the church had to have buttressing put in place.
