Getting up steam, Snowdon Mountain Railway
Snowdon Mountain Railway No 6, Padarn from 1922 was the only steam locomotive working on this day, although No 2, Enid, looks as though she could be ready to go. 7 steam locomotives survive, but only 3 are serviceable, most trains being operated by Hunslet diesels which don't make the same noise, smell and impression.
