The Old Post House, Fortingall
The Old Post House, Fortingall
The appearance of Fortingall dates back not much more than a century, since the village was in a poor state before the rebuilding inspired by the new owner of the Glen Lyon Estate Sir Donald Currie in 1885. The Old Post House is one of the new buildings from that period. There is a Flush Bracket on the wall of the Old Post House now hidden behind cotoneaster. It was used during the second and third Geodetic Levelling of Scotland. Its height is 420.2310 feet.LinkExternal link
