North Quarry, Ailsa Craig.
North Quarry, Ailsa Craig.
A source of curling stones. Not worked now, but there is a big stockpile of stone on the island, and occasionally some is taken off to make more curling stones. The Scottish ladies rink's olympic gold has somewhat increased demand.
