SH7076 : Former locomotive shed

taken 10 years ago, near to Penmaenmawr, Conwy, Wales

Former locomotive shed
Former locomotive shed
A roofless shed that was previously a locomotive depot close to the end of the tramway to West Quarry. This area rejoiced in the delightful name of Bonc Jolly and was close to the former Penmaen crushing mill. The floor still shows the remains of the sunken inspection pit.
N.B. A "ponc" refers to a tump or bank, in this case a quarry level.
