Train leaving Hever Station
A train leaving Hever station, on the railway line from London to Uckfield. This line is one of very few in South East England which has not been electrified. The train is a diesel multiple unit operated by Southern.

The building on platform 2, on the left of the image, was formerly the station building. It is now a private office.
Hever Station

Hever railway station opened in 1888. Train services from the station are provided by Southern, and the station is on the Uckfield branch of the Oxted Line.

Oxted Line (London to Uckfield & East Grinstead)

The Oxted Line runs from South Croydon, dividing at Hurst Green, one branch terminating at East Grinstead the other at Uckfield. The latter line was part of the longer Wealden line Link .
The line opened in 1884.
