St Bene't Minster - interior
Statue of St Benedict, the patron saint of this church, in a niche in the west wall of the nave. St Bene't's Minster > Link was built in the early 1900 by the architect Frederick Banham. The church was initially intended as the minster church of a large Benedictine priory, but plans were changed and it has since been served by monks of Downside Abbey in Stratton-on-the-Fosse in Somerset.
