Eroded byway in Cwm Doethie, Ceredigion
Looking down south-west towards the ford and footbridge in Cwm Doethie Fach, the former drover's road between Abergwesyn and Llanddewi-Brefi has been eroded here by storm rains in early spring 2014. The road is closed between the Afon Doethie Fach and the chapel at Soar-y-Mynydd. Some walkers and mountain bikers are still using the route, but extreme care is needed on this section which is still collapsing unpredictably. A small stream (torrent following heavy rain) now flows down the trench, which is more than two metres deep in several places.
