Along the Cruives, on the River Beauly
The cruives are a sort of weir or dam to trap passing salmon. There are small bridges between the gaps in the dam, so it is possible to walk across and reach a small island in the middle of the river.
This is looking back along the cruives, towards the north bank. The house on the right is Cruives Lodge, it is used by fishing parties.
