TM4555 : Hard, River Alde at the end of Ferry Lane, Sudbourne

taken 3 years ago, near to Aldeburgh, Suffolk, Great Britain

Hard, River Alde at the end of Ferry Lane, Sudbourne
Hard, River Alde at the end of Ferry Lane, Sudbourne
This small hard* is presumably where the Ferry used to ply its trade between the Sudbourne and Aldeburgh banks of the River Alde.

*A "hard" is a man made strip in tidal mud which has been filled with hard material to enable a walkway down the river, e.g. to reach a moored boat.
