SD7582 : Sun on the upper fall ('Mare's Tail'), Force Gill

taken 3 years ago, 3 km from Ribblehead, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Sun on the upper fall ('Mare's Tail'), Force Gill
Guidebook writer A. Wainwright recorded this as the Mare's Tail in his 'Walks in Limestone Country'. It is un-named on published OS maps but appears to be called 'High Force' on the largest scale maps available on Geograph. High Force is appropriate but dull. Mare's Tail is much more poetic.
