Opened in 1870 on the North London Railway's line from Dalston to Willesden Junction, this station replaced an earlier 1858 one some 350m behind the camera position - see TQ3285 : Canonbury 1st railway station (site), Greater London.
View west towards Highbury & Islington and Willesden, towards the end of the 2010 rebuild of the station which returned it to four platforms.
