Watery footfall
Watery footfall
A stranger to Bristol might believe, momentarily, that it had been raining very heavily. In fact, this waterfall was a Millennium project to re-invent the city centre. It covers the point at which the now subterranean River Frome flowed into the city centre, lined with busy quays. When the Year 2000 plans were first mooted, many Bristolians thought, or hoped, that the old waterway would be exposed once again ... but 21st century motor traffic prevailed.
