St Bartholomew's church, Greens Norton
St Bartholomew's church, Greens Norton
The original church was pre-conquest and there is long and short work (typical of Saxon building) visible in the lower stages of the tower. The church was extended in C13/C14. The spire was rebuilt in 1807 and 1957. See LinkExternal link Inside there is a Norman font from the workshop of St Peter's, Northampton which was active between 1140 and 1150 see LinkExternal link
