The RAF memorial on Victoria Embankment
Looking across the River Thames to the RAF Memorial, which was unveiled in 1923. The monument was designed by Sir Reginald Blomfield, and the eagle, taken from the RAF badge, by William Reid Dick. The inscription on the riverside face is:
