TM1543 : Down end of Ipswich station

taken 4 years ago, near to Ipswich, Suffolk, Great Britain

Down end of Ipswich station
Down end of Ipswich station
Looking towards Cambridge, Ely, Norwich, Lowestoft, and Felixstowe. The signal in the left foreground is unusual in being equipped with three sets of feathers for diverging routes in the same direction, presumably due to the presence of several sidings on the Up side that are used by freight trains to and from Felixstowe. The code on the signal number plate indicates that it is controlled from Colchester.
