At the junction with Queen Street, Wellington House, Nos.15 & 17 Wellington Street, originally a hotel, designed by locally-born architect Cuthbert Brodrick. Built circa 1840. It has been unoccupied for many years. The building is presently being demolished as it has been found to be at imminent risk of collapse. Being a Sunday, work is suspended for the day.
