Auchinleck railway station, Ayrshire
Opened in 1848 by the Glasgow, Paisley, Kilmarnock & Ayr Railway, later to become the Glasgow & South Western Railway, this station closed in 1965. It was reopened in 1984.
View west from the footbridge. The original station platforms projected slightly further west than now and there had been a 2 storey station building just before where the cars now are, a goods shed beyond it and several sidings to the left of the station.
