SP0886 : Camp Hill Locks no 57

taken 4 years ago, near to Birmingham, Great Britain

Camp Hill Locks no 57
Camp Hill Locks no 57
The last (or first) in the flight of 6 locks on the Grand Union between Sparkbrook and Bordesley. The handrail on the bridge in the foreground retains a series of rope grooves from the horsedrawn barges, an effect often seen on the cast-iron posts that protect bridge buttresses.
