Grouse butt on Harkerside Moor
Grouse butt on Harkerside Moor
A line of well-constructed, stone-built grouse butts rises adjacent to a stream groove, the water of which descends through the slopes of Harkerside Moor to join Grovebeck Gill. Butt number one is seen here; beyond the shadowed skyline land is along Fremington Edge and nearer, the pale rock exposure is Long Scar.
