St Thomas, Harty
St Thomas, Harty
Well-known for being the remotest church in Kent, the road to Harty Church has actually been recently improved. As John Newman in the Pevsner volumes on Kent describes it: "From the north it looks suitably battened down, the big tiled roof sloping down so far that there is no room for windows in the low wall." Beyond is The Swale and nearby is the site of the old Harty Ferry - see LinkExternal link
