Tidal gap at Broad Strand
Tidal gap at Broad Strand
The beach of Broad Strand lies to the south of this gap, and a little of it can be seen on the right of the image. The gap seen ahead only dries for a short period either side of Low Tide. The tide range here is so enormous that High Tide sees this gap filled with sea water up to the line of vegetation that can be seen. The rock on the left is Inner Stone, while on the right is the main coastline of north Devon.
